Welcome to the 2023-2024 Travel Tryout Registration

DC Soccer Club is committed to providing the highest standard soccer experience for players in the Washington, DC area.

The club's philosophy is based on a complete player-development model. This model heavily emphasizes individual player development, while progressing their understanding of team tactics and the performance environment as they age. Players are placed where they have an optimal balance between success and challenge.

DC Soccer Club's coaches are nationally licensed and continuously engaged in pursuing coaching education opportunities. Many of our coaches have extensive coaching experience at the elite youth and collegiate levels, and playing experience at the professional and National Team levels.

Travel Tryout Process

Registration:
ALL NEW AND RETURNING PLAYERS MUST REGISTER FOR TRYOUTS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR ANY DC SOCCER CLUB TRAVEL TEAM IN THE 2023-2024 SEASON.

Expectations:
Please help manage players’ expectations and understand the process. Travel Teams are selected on a competitive basis. Decisions will be made in the best interest of each player’s developmental needs. For returning DCSC players, the previous travel seasons’ performance, attendance and commitment will also be taken into account. All final decisions and team placement will be made by the Technical Director, Age Group Directors and individual team coaches.

Preparation for Tryouts:

Players must dress with appropriate soccer attire including shin guards.
Players must bring water and a well-inflated soccer ball.
Players must be pre-registered to attend tryouts
Arrive at least 15-30 minutes prior to the tryout time to check in and warm up.
Notification will be made within 2-5 days after the final tryout date.
All players who attend tryouts will be notified directly via email of the club’s decision regardless of selection for a team. We will use the email listed on the Sports Engine Account. Please also check your spam folder.
Players selected must accept their offers within 72 hours of the offer in order to guarantee their position on the roster.

Team Selections:

DCSC has 2-4 levels of competitive travel teams in most age groups from U9-U19.

U9-U10 teams play in NCSL and attend competitive local tournaments
U11-U12 teams play in EDP and NCSL leagues and attend competitive local tournaments
U13-U15 teams play in EDP National League and NCSL, attend competitive tournaments and compete in the State cup/President Cup (when applicable)
U16-U19 teams play in EDP National League and NCSL, attend competitive tournaments, State Cup/Presidents Cup (when applicable), showcases and College combines.

Financial Aid Information

DC Soccer Club provides financial assistance on program fees for players whose family qualifies based on club guidelines. Financial Aid is awarded at the discretion of DC Soccer Club’s Financial Aid Committee which does not include coaches or technical staff, and subject to availability. It might take up to 5 days to review your application. So apply now for the 2023-24 Financial Aid - Travel Program to see if your family qualifies for pre-approval BEFORE the tryouts. Parents/Guardians of those that registered for travel in the 2022-2023 season, please make sure you are logged in with same email/account you registered for the previous season with / the email you use to login to the SE app.
