DC Soccer Club's Accelerated Development Program (ADP) is the club’s middle tier of game-based programming. Coached by a mix of licensed coaches and volunteers, ADP competes in league-based competitions and holds tryouts twice per year. The program is geared toward motivated players with a drive to learn and improve who are looking to continue their soccer journey.
The main goal of ADP is to provide an opportunity for boys and girls to learn the intricacies of the game while developing tactical and technical skills in a professional organized environment.
The Accelerated Development Program will play its games in the Metro Community League (MCL), an intermediate league for 3rd to 8th boys and girls players in partnership with Alexandria Soccer Association (ASA).
The Spring season will run from March 20 - May 25. ADP will practice twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays and play games in D.C. and Alexandria on Sundays.
Ages: Boys and Girls 3rd - 6th Grade
Date: Sunday, March 12th
Times: Boys 3rd & 4th Grade from 9am - 10am
Girls 3rd & 4th Grade from 10am - 11am
Boys/Girls 5th & 6th Grade 11am - 12pm
Location: Jelleff Rec Center
*When rosters are full for an age group no more players will be selected. Some age groups will have more spots open than others.
Please make sure you register for tryouts. This is mandatory for all players, new and returning, who are interested in being selected to one of the DC Soccer Club ADP teams for Spring 2023.
Preparation for Tryouts:
The DC Soccer Club Financial Aid (FA) Application applies to most DC Soccer Club programs. FA is awarded at the discretion of DC Soccer Club's Financial Aid Committee which does not include coaches or technical staff, and subject to availability. For each soccer season (e.g. 2021-22, 2022-23), you can apply to Travel FA or General FA (or both), but if applying to both, applications must be submitted separately. FA cannot be applied retroactively.
