DC Soccer Club (formerly DC Stoddert Soccer) is the District of Columbia's largest youth sports program with more than 6,000 players participating in its Recreational Programs each fall and spring. DC Soccer Club provides a coed soccer program for players in Pre-K up through grade 12 and a girls-only program for players in grades 1 through 12. We are dedicated to making soccer fun, safe, and accessible to all players. Nearly half of all Recreational players are girls, making DC Soccer Club the largest youth sports program for girls in the city.
In the fall and spring seasons, DC Soccer Club offers a nine week Recreational soccer program. The fall season begins after Labor Day and extends into the early part of November. The spring season begins the last weekend in March and runs through mid-June. General Rec soccer program info and FAQs are available here.
Fall 2022 game dates for K-HS are expected to be September 10, 17, 24, Oct 1, 15, 22, 29, Nov 5, 19.
Pre-K Plus starts September 17. The eligible age range for Pre-K Plus participants is 4/1/2017 thru 9/30/2018. Pre-K Plus program info can be found here.
DC Soccer Club's Rec soccer program continues to value the contributions of volunteer coaches, as always. Teams may opt to use other (non-volunteer) coaches as long as the coaches register with DC Soccer Club and participate in any required meetings and/or training. Also, teams cannot insist that all team families contribute to the cost of the coach.
Currently DC Soccer Club assumes that the impact of COVID-19 on youth sports will be negligible in Fall 2022, and we expect to support games and practices in Washington, DC using normal sized teams and conventional game formats. We presently assume that no exceptional COVID protocols will be required by the time the Fall season starts. Should any of this change, DC Soccer Club reserves the right to make modifications to this program in the interest of participant safety.
Kindergarten through HS:
Early Bird - $105 (5/31 - 7/1)
Regular - $125 (7/2 – 7/29)
Late Fee - $155 (7/30 - 9/1)

Credit Card processing fees will be applied to all registrations.
July 1st - Last day for the Guaranteed Return to Team process (Returning players from Spring 2022 who register before July 2nd are guaranteed placement on their Fall 2022 team) and also the last day of the Early Bird discount (fee increases $20 on 7/2)
July 2nd – Starting today, any registered player is eligible for any open spot on a team
July 30 - Late Fee applies (additional $30) starting Saturday 7/30
August 12 @ 12 noon -Team Formation Deadline: no new teams may be created after this point. This deadline may be earlier at the discretion of the AGC.
August 26 – Game schedules due to be posted
September 10 – First games for K-HS teams
September 17 – First games for Pre-K Plus teams
Uniforms are no longer included within the cost of registration. Instead, players will now purchase uniforms via soccer.com. The new process was designed to reduce waste and increase efficiency -- helping get the right uniforms into the hands of players as quickly as possible, as well as allow players to use uniforms for more than one season! Once a player has the new uniform, there’s no automatic replacement of the uniform; you can upgrade to the next size only when needed or use a hand-me-down from a sibling or friend.
Players must also wear soccer-appropriate shorts and socks during games. These items will not be available for order through the club. We suggest ordering them from soccer.com.
If players ordered jerseys last Fall 2021, or last season Spring 2022, they are all set! Jerseys may be used as long as they are serviceable; there is no requirement to replace the jersey according to any set timeframe.
If you need new jerseys for 2022 Fall, you will receive ordering information via email after the rec registration is complete. You should place the order ASAP so they have them in time for the start of the Fall season in early September. Each player must order two uniform jerseys – one “home”(navy) and one “away” (red).
For those players eligible for Club-sponsored financial aid, assistance with jersey ordering will be provided.
Any players who did not acquire their new jerseys yet should order theirs ASAP so they have them in time for the start of the Fall season in early September.
Refunds (less a $15 processing fee) are available if requested before the date of the first game of the season. No refunds will be granted after that point. If the weather or some other unavoidable circumstance limits our program in any way, no refunds or other adjustments will be made.
Note: Any additional costs incurred during registration (i.e. credit card processing fees, ticket vouchers, charitable donations, late fees) are not refundable.
During online registration you can request a specific team via the Special Request field within the registration application. This request is reviewed by the DC Soccer Club staff who will try to accommodate requests but can’t guarantee that space will be available on a specific team.
Teams are formed using these primary factors:

Please enter the team and/or coach name in the Special Request field during registration. Do NOT assume we have previous team assignment history, so “same team as last season” won’t suffice.

DC Soccer Club is focused on creating a fair and enjoyable playing experience for all its players.
General Financial Aid for the 2022-2023 season is now open. This application is for most of our programs that run in Fall 2022, Winter 2023, Spring 2023, and Summer 2023. However, you are only required to apply once per year. If you have already applied for the Fall Programs, you should have received an email from us, and if approved, a discount code has been provided. Please continue to use that given discount code for this program.
For each season (e.g. 2022-23), you can apply to either Travel or General FA (or both), but if applying to both, applications must be submitted separately.
