DC Soccer Club is the District of Columbia's largest youth sports program with more than 4,000 players participating in its Recreational Programs each fall and spring. DC Soccer Club provides a coed soccer program for players in Pre-K up through grade 12 and a girls-only program for players in grades 1 through 12. We are dedicated to making soccer fun, safe, and accessible to all players. Nearly half of all Recreational players are girls, making DC Soccer Club the largest youth sports program for girls in the city.
In the fall and spring seasons, DC Soccer Club offers a nine week Recreational soccer program. The fall season begins after Labor Day and extends into the early part of November. The spring season begins the last weekend in March and runs through mid-June. General Rec soccer program info and FAQs are available here.
Spring 2024 game dates for K-HS are expected to be April 6th, 13th, 27th, May 4th, 11th, 18th, June 1st, 8th

Pre-K Plus starts Aril 6th. The eligible age range for Pre-K Plus participants is 4/1/2018 thru 9/30/2019. If you would like to register for Pre- K Plus please go HERE. (Pre-K Plus registration is no longer included within this Rec registration).
DC Soccer Club's Rec soccer program continues to value the contributions of volunteer coaches, as always. Teams may opt to use other (non-volunteer) coaches as long as the coaches register with DC Soccer Club and participate in any required meetings and/or training. Also, teams cannot insist that all team families contribute to the cost of the coach.
Currently DC Soccer Club assumes that the impact of COVID-19 on youth sports will be negligible in Spring 2024, and we expect to support games and practices in Washington, DC using normal sized teams and conventional game formats. We presently assume that no exceptional COVID protocols will be required by the time the Spring season starts. Should any of this change, DC Soccer Club reserves the right to make modifications to this program in the interest of participant safety.
Kindergarten through HS:
Early Bird - $125 (1/8 - 2/8)
Regular - $145 (2/9 - 2/29)
Late Fee - $175 (3/1- 4/1)
Pre-K Plus:
Early Bird - $205 (1/8 - 2/8)
Regular - $225 (2/9 - 2/29)
Late Fee - $255 (3/1- 4/1)
Credit Card processing fees will be applied to all registrations.
KEY DATES:
Feb 8th - Last day for the Guaranteed Return to Team process (Returning players from Fall 2023 who register before Feb 8th are guaranteed team placement on the same team from the previous season) and also the last day of the Early Bird discount (fee increases $20 on 2/9)
Feb 9th – Beginning this day, any registered player is eligible for any open spot on a team **
Feb 29th - Last day for 'regular' priced registration- Late Fee applies (additional $30) on March 1st
March 1st @ 12 noon- Team Formation Deadline: no new teams may be created after this point. This deadline may be earlier at the discretion of the AGC.
March 25th – Game schedules due to be posted
April 6th – First games
April 13th – First games for Pre-K Plus teams

DC Soccer Club has partnered with PJ’s Soccer/Lacrosse Shop of Bethesda to ensure excellent customer service and provide our club families a local retail shop for all their equipment needs. PJ’s Soccer Shop has uniforms in stock and available for purchase through its convenient online store. Families can purchase online and choose to have their uniform shipped to their home or pick up in the store. Families may also choose to purchase their uniform in the store to try on sizes, soccer shoes and other soccer gear.
All DC Soccer Club members receive a 10% club discount in store for non-uniform and non-sale items.
UNIFORMS REQUIRED: All DC Soccer Club recreational players must have Adidas NAVY and RED jerseys (home and away). If DCSC rec players are returning from the 2022-2023 season, they do NOT need to purchase new uniforms unless they would like to. If you would like to purchase jerseys for this Fall season select YES when asked “Does this player need to order a uniform…” during rec registration. You will receive an email after registration with uniform ordering details. (Please check spam). Numbers for rec jerseys are assigned by random at PJs and may not be requested.
OTHER EQUIPMENT NEEDED: Shinguards, soccer appropriate shoes, shorts and soccer socks are also required, but can be purchased anywhere. However, PJ’s Soccer Shop has all of these items available and affordably priced—black Adidas shorts and navy Adidas socks can be purchased via the online store (as well as in store).
DCSC BROOKLAND REC LEAGUE: All players who are registering for DCSC Brookland need to order the DC Soccer Club uniforms: Adidas NAVY and RED jerseys. After adding the size, please choose YES under the prompt “Brookland FC Logo (Optional)” in order to have this logo patch added to their uniform for the league. Any DC Soccer Player returning from the 2022-2023 season who already has the rec uniform but is now playing for the DCSC Brookland Rec League, you may go into the store to purchase a patch and have it placed on your existing uniform. Numbers for rec jerseys are assigned by random at PJs and may not be requested.
FINANCIAL AID: For players who qualified for financial aid and who need new jerseys, select YES when asked “Does this player need to order a uniform…” during rec registration. More information will then be sent to your email to order and for pick up. Questions for financial aid/uniforms may be directed to Jennifer Werth: jwerth@dcsoccerclub.org.
Once a player has the new uniform, there’s no automatic replacement of the uniform; you can upgrade to the next size only when needed or use a hand-me-down from a sibling or friend. If returning players have uniforms from the 2022-2023 season, or any time since then, they are all set! Jerseys may be used as long as they are serviceable; there is no requirement to replace the jersey.
IMPORTANT NOTE: DC Soccer Club has merged with Brookland FC, which is based in the Brookland and Petworth area. You may choose to register for the DC Soccer Club recreational league that serves the general NW DC area or for the DCSC Brookland recreational league specific to the Brookland and Petworth area.
DCSC BROOKLAND will be the choice for current Brookland FC players to continue in their league specific to the Brookland and Petworth area, as well as any DCSC player who may prefer to be local to that area.
DC Soccer Club will be the choice for any player–new, returning or from Brookland FC– who wishes to play in the recreational league located in the general NW DC area historically served by DC Soccer Club.
Within this Rec registration you will be able to select that you wish to sign up for DCSC Brookland Recreational League.

Refunds (less a $15 processing fee) are available if requested before the date of the first game of the season. No refunds will be granted after that point. If the weather or some other unavoidable circumstance limits our program in any way, no refunds or other adjustments will be made.
Note: Any additional costs incurred during registration (i.e. credit card processing fees, ticket vouchers, charitable donations, late fees) are not refundable.
During online registration you can request a specific team via the Special Request field within the registration application. This request is reviewed by the DC Soccer Club staff who will try to accommodate requests but can’t guarantee that space will be available on a specific team.
Teams are formed using these primary factors:

Please enter the team and/or coach name in the Special Request field during registration. Do NOT assume we have previous team assignment history, so “same team as last season” won’t suffice.

DC Soccer Club is focused on creating a fair and enjoyable playing experience for all its players.
General Financial Aid for the 2023-2024 season is open. This application is for most of our programs that run in Fall 2023, Winter 2024, Spring 2024, and Summer 2024. However, you are only required to apply once per year, and any returning families need to apply annually.
For each season (e.g. 2023-24), you can apply to either Travel or General FA (or both), but if applying to both, applications must be submitted separately. FA cannot be applied retroactively.
