The program is designed for travel-level players only.

Age groups are determined based on the 2023/24 season. Your player(s) will be automatically placed in correct division within registration based on DOB.

The GK S.T.A.R. (Goalkeeper Summer Travel Academy Readiness) Program is designed for goalkeepers to continue their development in throughout the summer in a high-level environment. The format also recognizes that summer is for vacations and regeneration. The program provides that flexibility

GK S.T.A.R. is a 6-week program with 2-hour practices held once a week and organized as academy training for travel players to attend as their schedule permits. Each session is uniquely designed as a stand-alone training to challenge players technically and physically.

U9 - U12 = Boys / Mondays / 6 weeks

U9 - U12 = Girls / Tuesdays / 6 weeks

U13 - U16 Boys / Wednesdays / 6 weeks

U13 - U16 Girls / Thursdays / 6 weeks

The emphasis of each GK S.T.A.R. training is to develop players’ physical capacities with the modern methodology of the “GoalPlayer” by working in speed, agility, reaction, and quickness. Also, players will develop their technical capacities in foot skills, ball handling (ground and air), and dealing with shots from different angles and crosses. 

Focusing on individual development over the summer will help players get ready for team play once the fall season begins!

*No sessions of the week of July 3rd - July 7th*

Cost: $295 + processing fees

Players will be allowed and encouraged to participate in both the S.T.A.R and Super Y programs. These programs will not conflict. We strongly encourage our players to sign up for both!

If you are approved for the 2022-23 General Financial Aid or Level 1 qualifier for the Travel Financial Aid, please send a request to financialaid@dcsoccerclub.org for a discount code. Please provide the player's name(s) and program that you're interested in.

You can check your FA status by looking under your SportEngine Profile. After logging into your Sport Engine account, go to the "Registrations" menu ->  click on appropriate Financial Aid Registration -> scroll down toward the bottom of the page and look for the "FA Discount Code" field. If the General FA Discount Code exists, then you are approved for FA. If Travel FA Discount Code exists with Level 1 indicator, then you are approved for FA. (Do not use that Discount Code; it does not apply to this program.)

If you have not applied for General Financial Aid, apply online. General Financial Aid for the 2022-2023 season is still open, but subject to availability. This application is for most of our programs that run in Fall 2022, Winter 2023, Spring 2023, and Summer 2023. However, you are only required to apply once per year.
